It’s only been a matter of weeks since we last wrote about an interesting new take on the LCD 3D printer from Taiwanese manufacturer Phrozen.

That was the Shuffle 4K, offering a bump in printing quality. This is the Phrozen Sonic. A new machine that keeps the form factor of its Shuffle printers, and swaps out the LCD tech inside for something altogether different, the Phrozen Sonic promises blisteringly fast layer cure times – as little as half a second, given certain conditions.

Pitched at professional applications in jewelry and dental, it’s certainly and an intriguing looking desktop printer that approaches LCD-based resin printing differently enough to achieve what appears to be a step-change in desktop LCD printing performance.
