Direct Metal Laser Sintering 3D Printers
Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) 3D printers start sintering each layer, beginning with the underlying support structure, using a laser and a bed of metallic powder. After the layer of powder is micro-welded, the platform shifts down and the next layer of powder is deposited. This process is repeated for each layer until the print process is finished.
