Artist Kevin Caron has a simple explanation for mainly using technology to design his works. “I started using a computer early in my career because I am terrible with a pencil. I can’t draw myself out of box,” he said in an interview from his home in Phoenix.

 .

Since then, technology has become integral to Caron’s work as a metal sculptor. For the past five years, the artist has been using 3D printing to create the designs for his work.
