After learning about the Orange 4K from Longer 3D, I was excited to get my hands on one and take it for a test ride. What most intrigued me about the Kickstarter campaign for the Orange 4K was the 4K LED screen of the system, which allows for 31.5-micron resolution across the X and Y axes.

This compares to most LED-based digital light processing (DLP) 3D printers that rely on 2K screens and, therefore, achieve closer to 47.25 microns on the X- and Y-axes.

The 3D printer box in various stages of unboxing. Shipping from China, the printer arrived at my doorstep within about a week wrapped in plastic, protected by a box within a box.
