3D Hubs launches manufacturing fund for COVID-19 efforts

3D Hubs, a Netherlands-based online manufacturing platform, has launched the COVID-19 Manufacturing Fund in an effort to support initiatives that are tackling the lack of much-needed medical supplies across the globe.

The company says the fund will provide resources to these projects, enabling them to scale up the production of medical equipment, including protective masks and ventilator components. Within 12 hours of launching the COVID-19 Manufacturing Fund, 3D Hubs had already raised over $18,000, which will go towards supporting its partners. So far, the company is working with Make4Covid and the University of Denver to produce up to 10,000 protective face shields for hospitals in Denver.
