The printer employs CKM and Fluxprint, two proprietary technologies that enable engineering additives to be incorporated and aligned for optimized performance in 3D-printed tooling applications. One primary application for the printer is mold tooling. Users can print fiber-reinforced photopolymer mold tools in days at a fraction of the cost of traditional metal tools, the company reports. Fortify’s Digital Tooling resin, a proprietary blend of resin and ceramic fibers, is optimized for high-resolution parts that perform under pressure and temperature.
