Sweden’s Prototal acquires Danish 3D printing company Damvig

Danish 3D printing company Damvig A/S has been acquired by Prototal AB, Sweden’s most prominent supplier of 3D printing services.

According to the companies, the acquisition will result in a stronger market position for Prototal within Northern Europe and help to promote the adoption and proliferation of additive manufacturing in the region.

Founded in 1995 by siblings Jesper and Susanne Damvig, Damvig has become recognized as one of the most experienced 3D printing firms in Denmark and its surrounding region. Over the years, the company has also prided itself on staying up to date with new AM technologies—a factor which has enabled the company to experience annual sales increases of 20% over the past four years.
