Voxel8, a tech start-up whose 3D printing technologies are offering new ways to design and produce footwear, athletic apparel, and smart textiles, has named Friedrich (Fred) von Gottberg as its new president and CEO.

Prior to joining Voxel8, Gottberg was with Cabot Corporation for over 20 years. His most recent roles included senior vice president and president, Purification Solutions, vice president and GM New Business Segments, and vice president and global director of R&D. The move will see Travis Busbee, co-founder and former CEO, assume the full-time role of chief technology officer, allowing him to focus on product development and the research and development of innovative new technologies.
