A look at CES 2020 Innovation Award honorees in 3D printing

[post-views]

With CES 2020 kicking off today, there is a ton of buzz around consumer electronics. As one might expect, 3D printing has figured in to the event in a significant way.

 .

Yesterday, for instance, we reported that Korean beauty giant Amorepacific was presenting its new 3D printed facial sheet masks at CES 2020.

 .

Now, we’ll take a look at some of the other 3D printing products that are being highlighted in Las Vegas this week. Every year, the CES Innovation Awards honor a select number of outstanding products in the consumer electronics area.

 .

Last year, only one honoree in the 3D printing category was named: a 3D printed titanium hearing aid called Phonak Virto B-Titanium. This year, the focus on additive has apparently increased, with four honorees in the 3D Printing category.

 .

The first, which we spoke about already, is Amorepacific, which developed a special hydrogel 3D printing process in collaboration with Lincsolution for its custom skincare products. The other 3D printing honorees in the CES 2020 Innovation Awards are the Snapmaker 2.0 3D printer, the da Vinci Color 5D 3D printer by XYZprinting and Volumic 3D’s ULTRA Supercharged 3D printer.
